Rural Affordable Housing Rentals
Local Developers have been working with the Town of Madison for nearly a year to help solve the housing crisis conundrum. Tim Curtis, the Town Manager of Madison, approached Sam Hight, an auto dealer and real estate developer based in Skowhegan in late 2021 to try and implement a local housing study, which highlighted the need for housing within the Town, and a number of target sites.
Sam with his team, Brian Eng, a Maine real estate developer, and Kara Wilber, a Maine real estate designer and developer, 55 Weston Avenue LLC will provide 18 new rental units in the first phase of the project.

On October 20, 2023, the team of 55 Weston Ave, LLC, consisting of Sam Hight, Brian Eng, and Kara Wilbur, held a groundbreaking ceremony for their Rural Affordable Housing Project in Madison, Maine. The event was attended by Maine Governor, Janet Mills, as well as many community members and officials from Madison and the surrounding areas.
